Today I wanted to share one of my favorite bundles in the Holiday Catalog, the Christmas Gleaming Bundle! It comes with TWO punches and a fabulous coordinating stamp set. Stampin Up didn’t stop with the bundle, they added even more to this bundle and made it a whole SUITE! And you know what that means, we got coordinating ribbon, embellishments and DESIGNER SERIES PAPER!!!
I created 3 cards with this Suite that I want to share with you. All 3 cards feature the same layout and each packs a different wow.
This card features Night of Navy as its primary color and I added some copper embellishments from the Suite for some extra pizzazz.
For the second card, I used Mossy Meadow and flipped the card vertically. I used more of the copper embellishments to really make the copper in the designer paper pop.
This card highlights one of our new In-colors, Pretty Peacock. I let the pattern in the designer paper do all the work for this one. I punched out a small ornament from some copper foil paper and then ran it through my die cutting machine with the Tufted 3D embossing folder. It just gives it that extra little touch don’t ya think?
For detailed instructions on how to make these cards, watch my video here:
All 3 card bases: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ – scored at 4 1/4″ (Card Base)
Designer Paper: 3 x 4 1/4″
Copper Foil: 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
Shimmer White CS: 1 3/4″ x 1 1/2″ (for sentiments for Cards 1 & 2)
For this month’s NC Demo Blog Hop, we were tasked with finding a picture of flowers that inspire us! I chose a picture I took of my gifts I received from my work team a couple of months ago… they really do appreciate me! (But not as much as I appreciate them). I received flowers and chocolates!!!
So, I came home and started going through my Pressed Petals Designer Paper and created this card:
This paper packs such a wow on its own that it needs very little added to it. I just heat embossed my sentiment from the Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set in Copper and layered it on some copper foil.
Then I used the Pressed Petals Washi Tape to create my flower. Tip: rub your embossing buddy on the tips of the Washi Petals so they don’t stick to your card. That will help keep your Petals raised up.
Card Base: 11″ x 4 1/4″, folded in half
Layer: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
Designer Paper: 4″ x 5 1/4″
Copper Foil: 1 1/4″ x 4 1/4″
Sentiment Layer: 1″ x 4 1/4″

I didnt get to post last week, so Im giving you a bonus this week of THREE tips for organizing your craft space!
I like to have my tools and most commonly used items within my reach. I also find that having things like my Designer Paper and ribbons within my reach help to encourage me to use them more. To achieve this, I have a bookshelf on my desk that all of these items are kept on. I also spray painted it white so it would better match my room!
Pre-cut your Designer Paper and store it in either clear stamp cases or these cello envelopes. I can show you how to do that if you need some guidance. I cut the information on the backing of the package out and keep it with my papers. This way all of the coordinating colors and the item number are available when I grab the paper. I got my clear envelopes from Amazon, and they are sized 6×6.
Ribbons! I love using ribbon on projects. But I found if they are in a drawer or on a separate shelf from my workspace then I don’t use them. So I found this spice rack at Ikea. I painted it white, and voila! It has the little bar in front so the ribbon doesn’t roll off and the opening I can use to pull an end through. I considered getting a paper towel holder, but then removing the roll to replace or take to events would be more difficult… that would mean I wouldn’t use my ribbon, and we want to use our ribbon!! (I normally have more ribbon than this, but I cleared out my retiring ones into a box so I could focus on using them for classes)
To keep my Designer Paper and other tools in reach and organized, I bought a wooden plate rack from Ikea! I also keep my Stamparatus plates on it. 3 plates will fit in each divided section. Depending on how many sheets of Designer Paper you have in a packet will determine how many packs can fit in each section. I fit at least 2.
This is the Ikea information for the plate rack and spice rack:
Hope you enjoyed these organization tips! I would live to hear some of yours, so please leave a comment below with what works for your space!
Today I wanted to share a couple of cards I made using the Bloom by Bloom bundle and the Incredible Like You stamp set! This suite of products is on our Last Chance list so they are only available while supplies last – if you love them, then you need to order them before they’re gone!
I wanted to show how you can use the same card layout and color combination in multiple ways. All you have to do is use a different sheet of Designer Paper , and boom, your cards are instantly different and still so striking! This is a perfect layout and concept for doing some #loveitchopit!
Both cards use the Happiness Blooms Designer Paper, and the colors that coordinate with the paper: Calypso Coral, Call Me Clover, Night of Navy, and Pineapple Punch.
The first card was done in Landscape, and uses Calypso Coral as my base, and Night of Navy as my stamped image layer. Which of these is your favorite? Leave me a comment below and tell me!
My second card was done in Portrait, and uses a Whisper White card base, and a Call Me Clover stamped layer.
They are finished off with some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.
Aren’t these cards just so bright and fun! Stampin’ Up has mastered the art of coordinating everything so designing cards like this is so easy! Just pick your Designer Paper, the coordinating stamp set (or two) and the ink and cardstock in the coordinating colors…done!
If you would like to purchase any of the items I have used, you can email me or you can click the images below to add them to your cart in my online store. My store is ALWAYS open!
I am also providing an updated list of our Last Chance items… once they are gone, they are gone forever so get them now! Click the image for an updated list…
Today I am sharing a card I designed for a swap at OnStage this past weekend. The category was Avid Crafter cards which includes WOW and Fancy Fold cards. I chose to use the Let it Ride stamp set (because I love Horses) and to incorporate it on a Z-Fold card.
A Z-Fold card is one of the easier fancy folds in my opinion. No rocket science involved, just an extra fold on the front panel, and add your layers as usual… but it packs such a wow!
I wanted to keep the colors neutral so that my horse would be the star of the card, and I colored him and his friends on the inside with my Blends!
This is what the card looks like folded flat, as it would be in an envelope.
Here is my inside panel. I just love the vibe that these horses give… not a care in the world and just grazing along. I wish I could live like that some days… but responsibilities prevail…
Since this card was intended to be for an avid crafter, I had to step it up a bit! I used my rectangle stitched dies, added some designer paper, did a watercolor wash on my background, colored with my Blends, and heat embossed my sentiment on vellum. All pulled together, just makes this card a WOW.
The Z-Fold is a really simple design to do as well… and it packs such a punch!
Cut your standard card base (5 1/2″ x 11″)
Score and fold your card as normal, at 4 1/4″. It will look like a standard portrait card at this point…
Score the front panel at 2 1/8″. Then fold the piece back the other way.
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!
The Let it Ride stamp set will carryover into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, so we can enjoy this set for another year! But the Designer Paper will not carryover, so if you love it, you better get it quick before its gone forever!
If you would like to purchase any of the items I used on this card for your own supply stash, email me or click the images below to add them to your cart in my online store. My store is ALWAYS open!
Today’s card is part of the NC Demo’s Blog Hop. This month’s theme is cute critters, and since I’m a dog-lover, I designed my card using the new Happy Tails Bundle!
Remember, today is the FINAL day of Sale-a-Bration so get those last-second orders in by midnight so you don’t miss out! Not sure what to order? Try this adorable bundle out!
In case you’re wondering who are the NC Demos… We are a self-managed group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators that live in North Carolina, USA. We have our own Facebook page where we set up events for fellow demonstrators to attend, we share project ideas and business tips as well.
Today’s card uses the Happy Tails bundle with some of our FREE Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper called Painted Seasons. You can earn this paper for FREE by placing a $50 order – but you better hurry, Sale-a-bration ends tonight (March 31st) and this paper will be GONE!
The Happy Tails bundle has a great punch that will cut your dog AND a cute little heart too! The stamp set has multiple pattern options for your dog so you can make most any breed / color you want… so many possibilities… I used a simple masking technique on the sentiment to cover up the word “Heart” because I wanted to use the little heart punch in its place… I think it gives it such a cute touch.
You can purchase all the items I used on this card from my Online Store by clicking the links below. My store is ALWAYS open!
Now, Hop on over to the next blog to see what other cute critters some of my fellow NC Demos created!
I have been in craft-room-renovation-mode since the first of the year, and although it didn’t require a full construction crew and engineers, it was a slow process because I was doing it all myself and I went through EVERYthing I had and purged a lot of things – this was so refreshing to do! I will post pictures and details soon…
Now to today’s projects… Its one of my favorite times of year, Sale-a-Bration PLUS we have a wonderful Occasions Catalog. As much as I love these products, I think we tend to overlook our still fabulous annual catalog this time of year. Its been raining 4 out of the 7 days here for weeks, and I needed some brightness in my stamping life… so I thought I’d #bringthecattyback with these three cheery cards and do some #loveitchopit with my Garden Impressions designer paper.
All of today’s cards are fairly simple, and only require stamps, paper, ink and your trimmer. That’s right, no punches, and no Big Shot!
The first card features some Calypso Coral with a pop of Daffodil Delight. Don’t you just love that sentiment: “If flowers were hugs, I’d send you a thousand”?!
Card Base (Whisper White) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
Designer Paper 4″ x 5 1/4″
Calypso Coral Layer 2 1/4″ x 4″
Whisper White (Flowers) 2″ x 4″
Whisper White (Sentiment) 1″ x (desired length)
My next card is a bit more bold with the Melon Mambo. The vellum helps draw your eyes to the stamped image and sentiment… and it just gives it that perfect little touch, don’t you agree?
Card Base (Melon Mambo) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Designer Paper 4″ x 5 1/4″
Vellum Layer 3″ x 4 1/4″
Melon Mambo Layer 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Whisper White (Flowers) 3 1/4″ x 2 1/4″
Whisper White (Sentiment) 3/4″ x (desired length)
And my last card for today is so simple and really focuses on how layering can really give your card that simple wow. The Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight are a perfect pairing…
Card Base (Daffodil Delight) 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Designer Paper 4″ x 5 1/4″
Night of Navy Layer 3″ x 4 1/4″
Daffodil Delight Layer 2 3/4″ x 4″
Whisper White 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″
